Is the Monte Carlo still under construction?

Has anyone stayed at the Monte Carlo lately? Is is still under construction? How are the rooms?

I just got back to DC from Vegas on Sunday. My brother and I stayed at the Monte Carlo. They are doing some renovations in the Casino area, but it is a fairly limited area. They have freestanding black screens surrounding the areas of renovation. I would say it is only about 5-10% of the casino area. I did not notice any other construction on site.

The large City Center construction is still going on with a vengence. This is right next door. Our room was on the pool side of the resort overlooking the construction site and it made some noise in the morning. I would definetly request a room on the strip side of the hotel, and on the south end. If you get that you should be fine.

The rooms were fine. Still clean and comfortable. I would go back without any hesitation.
