Favorite casino??

My boyfriend and I are going to Las Vegas in March. I just wanted to know some of your guys%26#39; favorite casinos or the places where you guys have won the most money. Also, we have some friends that have recommended taking a trip downtown to El Cortez. Is it worth it? What do you think? Thanks!

Favorite casino??

Ioana404,

I tend to like New York, New York. I have always hit on the Wheel of Fortune slots. A couple of years back, on our last day, I won back all the money I spent during the week - that was the first time I left Vegas with all the spending money I originally came with. Good Luck and have fun!

Favorite casino??

I would go downtown. It is kinda cool to see the more historical side of vegas. I like to gamble at places like the bellagio or ceasers. They are both real high class and it makes me feel like a ';High Roller';. However, sometimes when you go to the small casino%26#39;s they treat you very well because the all the business they gte matters...depends on your preference.

el cortez if you want to see old type casino, made in 1941

I always play at El Cortez because it is low limit and I get more action for same amount of money. But this casino is old and full of smoke. The shape of the casino is also very weird.

We went to the Palms and the Rio for the first time on our last trip. Both are off-Strip, but are only a short cab ride away.

The Palms has an unusual design scheme -- wood floors and huge overhead fans. Very attractive. It%26#39;s not too big, but big enough, and has a modern feel.

The Rio is huge, also attractive with a modern, not-too-glitzy feel, and has a cool video roulette game --- bets are made at terminals ringing a real wheel. Lots of fun, and a low minimum -- $2.50.

Never been to El Cortez. My favorite place to play when I go downtown is Fitzgerald%26#39;s. Its usually rocking with good music and fun dealers at night.

On the strip, I tend to stay away from the high-end places due to higher table limits and snooty attitudes (I like to stay there, but gamble elsewhere). IMO, the best strip casino is Imperial Palace. Its very down-to-earth and fun...and their ';Dealertainers'; are a hoot (dealers who are celebrity impersonators and they sing and entertain while they deal blackjack). Gotta at least check it out!

I agree with IP. Low limits, good drinks and a fun place to visit and gamble.

All depends what you are looking for! Mirage is my favorite atmosphere to play in although the odds aren%26#39;t quite as good as those other places. Maybe that%26#39;s because it was the first of the new resorts that turned Vegas into what it is now. Imperial Palace is definitely a fun casino for laid back low roller gambling(just wish the cocktail girls would bring back those heavenly blue outfits!). Downtown is fun to visit and play, but don%26#39;t get caught walking from El Cortez at night. And as for staying, I now exclusively stay at the Orleans. As stated in many other threads it is the best value for the money! Nice rooms, nice casino, nice food, can%26#39;t beat it! Ya gotta stay on the strip once, but the truth is in Vegas you spend so little time in the room(even on my honeymoon), that to go for big bucks to sleep is a waste. Have fun

I agree with SBM22. I have had the most luck at New York New York! Good luck wherever you go. Bottom Line - Just have fun WHEREVER you go.
