Questions that deserve an ';obnoxius answer';

most regulars here log in daily and try to answer questions the best way they can, but then again, (I don%26#39;t want to be rude) some questions do not deserve an answer or at least deserve an obnoxious answer.

Here are my examples:

1- Staying at Bellagio, take the shuttle or cab!!!!!

2- Are the pools open in January?

3- What to wear?

4- Is the drink really free?

5- Which car rental company?

What is your list?

Questions that deserve an ';obnoxius answer';

Any question about whether they should go with Hotel ';A'; or ';B'; when the two are not even close to being of the same quality. Sorry, but a recent poster asked about Excal or MGM. Or - Imperial Palace or Treasure Island? I just avoid those entirely.

Questions that deserve an ';obnoxius answer';

I don%26#39;t feel that any of the questions would deserve an obnoxious answer, unless they are exceptionally crude and/or bigoted and offensive.

Not everyone has the same experiences or lifestyle, and it is unfair to assume that everyone knows what a ';good'; question is.

How about this....if the question posed bothers you tremendously, why not just ignore it altogether? Why be rude or obnoxious and prevent a person from even wanting to ask a question or seek out help?

What%26#39;s the weather like in (insert month)?

Which Cirque du Soleil show is best?

How bad is the smoke in casinos?

Why are hotel rates so much higher at weekends?

Which hotel is best for kids?

ILovetotravel,

The point is, I think people who post those answers, they either know the answer, and want to just post something, or don%26#39;t want to do their homework.

Anyone can search the google and find the answer to temperatures in vegas!!!!!!

Telling us he/she is staying at bellagio ($300 a night) and then asking how much is a cab fare does not make sence

ilovetotravel29, I agree that no question deserves an obnoxious answer and I%26#39;ll always (despite my previous post which was strictly tongue in cheek) either answer politely or not at all. The point is that people constantly ask questions that they could easily find out good answers for by doing a little bit of research.

It does get a bit infuriating at times..... :-)

well,

i happen to think some people are very rude when answering questions. dont get me wrong , there area some very amazing helpfull people who go out of there way to help others.

for the most part, do you really think people would ask questions of they did not know the answer???

some people are either very young , or just never really traveled. they dont always know their geography, weather conditions, locations of hotels to airport, all kinds of stuff.

thats what this website is for, if people are sick of answering the same questions, then maybe they are on here too much , or maybe just ignore those questions.

i also get that sometimes the regulars say that they wish people would use the search bar to look up topics already discussed, well i for one do not care to see what someone posted in 2005, i want fresh answers.

i am sure i can speak for others as well...many times i hesitate to ask a question because i dont want the drama for a quick question.

I don%26#39;t write obnoxious answers. I also don%26#39;t have a list of questions that deserve an obnoxious answer. I think most people are sincere in asking questions and would just like someone to help them. What appears stupid to me isn%26#39;t stupid to someone else so why should I be rude? If I go to another forum for an area I don%26#39;t know I might ask a question that appears stupid to the regulars on that forum.I would want someone to respond with an obnoxious answer. If I am tired of answering the same question- I just skip it for a while. O.K. -sometimes I do roll my eyes and THEN I skip it. I never feel I am superior to anyone else on this forum so I don%26#39;t look down on anyone or any question.

She%26#39;s rolling her eyes right now! lol

I don%26#39;t actually advocate a rude response to anyone, but the following would certainly tempt me:

Which casino/bar will I have the best chance of being able to sneak my kids into?

I%26#39;m staying at Circus Circus. Will I get a hassle from hotel staff trying to use the Bellagio pool?

I%26#39;ve been offered free crap because I gambled a ton on my player%26#39;s club card. How I do I get them to upgrade me to better and more free crap without gambling more?

I will only be in Las Vegas for 78 minutes. What are the ';must-dos'; I should plan?

I just decided to make a last-minute trip to Vegas tomorrow! Where should I stay? And why are all the hotel rates so high?

I%26#39;m booking a trip to Las Vegas for myself, my husband, his parents, my sister, our three kids aged 19, 11, and 2, our next-door neighbors, and three cobblers from Uzbekistan. Which hotel will be ideal for all of us?

I%26#39;m coming to Vegas for four nights with my partner. Without knowing anything more about us, please tell me for each day and night of our stay, where to eat, where to shop, what free stuff to see, what to wear, what to drink, and where to gamble!
