question about oct

i%26#39;m planning a trip to vegas in october. i%26#39;m scheduled to fly out on the 14th for 5 nights. airfare prices i%26#39;ve found to be very reasonable but hotels are all full prices and almost all promos don%26#39;t include this week. they do however include the week before and the week after. i%26#39;ve checked many vegas sites and can%26#39;t find anything major going on in the city this week.

am i missing something?

question about oct

There will be more promos coming out in the next couple of weeks. My advice: Book the best rate you can find directly with a hotel and keep looking for a better deal, you can always change it.

There%26#39;s a Funeral Directors Convention on the 10th . That%26#39;s always a lively bunch.

Several others that have 10,000 attendees each, couple with all the major sports playing,--Busy time for casinos.

Maybe alot of conventions in town that week??

The prices are really really high. Rio has $340 for a weekend night.

Anyway, you might book an off strip hotel and then cancel if you get a better deal. Book directly with hotel.

Southwest currently has good deals for the Orleans, Gold Coast and South Point.

I got Gold Coast for $45 per night for 10/3 and 4. I called Gold Coast and they matched the price I saw on SW site. I think the weekend was around $100 per night.

Good Luck

Hey I wonder what hotel they are staying at? Sounds like a place to be :)

packing machinery convention 30,000 people 15th-18th. I suppose they may be there to crate funeral director cadavers

Automobile Aftermarket---130, 000 late Oct.

My question about October is, ';Will it ever get here???'; 9 wks 6 days too far away.

The funeral directors got a great deal to stay at the New Frontier, as it is closed already and just needs the embalming fluid before it is officially laid to rest. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. There will $500 a night rooms in its place. In this you can trust.

Booked through Southwest airlines for our Oct 25 trip, which involved a weekend. Got the Gold Coast for $45/Thursday and $100/each Friday and Saturday. Can%26#39;t beat that!

Good through Oct. 31.
