go to kayak.com they give you most airlines schecules it would give you the best times.

For Vegas I know there is a direct flight from London to Vegas on Virgin. To get to Reno you would probably want to fly to the west coast as it would be easier connecting to reno.

Reno is about 425 miles from Vegas and Laughlin is 90 miles from Vegas.

Most flights to/from Reno are only around the Western US. Here are some gateway cities to fly into (and the int%26#39;l airlines that fly to the UK) so you don%26#39;t have too many connections:

San Francisco - United Airlines, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic

Los Angeles - American Airlines, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, many others

Phoenix - USAir

Las Vegas - British Midlands, Virgin Atlantic

Denver - United Airlines

Houston - Continental Airlines

Dallas - American Airlines

Atlanta - Delta Airlines

Did I miss anything?

I belive BA flys to more citys that listed. I think they fly into Seattle and Pheonix. Going by memory so I could be wrong.

By next year, Southwest (bargain airline, like Ryan) will be flying out of SFO, and since they have lots of flights to Reno I assume you could do the Heathrow/SFO nonstop and then take Southwest from SFO to Reno. If you can get a nonstop from the UK to LAX, you also could get a Southwest flight from there to Reno.

Or, you can (or at least you could in the past) fly out of Manchester on Delta, but that would mean transferring somewhere in the US because there would not be a nonstop from Manchest UK to the West Coast of the US (however, you might be able to connect to a Delta flight directly to Reno, e.g., from Salt Lake City).

The Reno airport is close to downtown, so not expensive to get cabs to the hotel.

Berekely: No reason to pay for a taxi, as the hotels all have free shuttles, which will get them there as fast as a cab....

From MAN, you can get to LAS directly on BMI (and I think one of the charter airlines flies this route too). They are definitely worth a look and sometimes come up with some good fares.

The disadvantage of most of the options listed above is that you would have to travel via one of the London airports so will get to Reno in a minimum of 3 flights or have to transfer to London.

where2travel - the OP wants to go to RNO, not LAS.
