How far is the walk

Heading to LV on the 12th and not getting a car. My girlfriend and I have never been to Hard Rock and I would like to visit it. Is the walk too far from the strip. It seems that walking in Vegas is an optical illusion. It looks like it%26#39;s right there and half an hour later you are still walking in the direction of the next location (huffing and puffing and sweating).

So is a cab ride in order? (Orleans also)

If I%26#39;m to understand you%26#39;re staying at the Orleans? You%26#39;re going to want to get a car or you%26#39;ll be walking ALOT in some very hot weather or paying equal in cab fares to what you%26#39;d pay for a compact rental through Dollar (most likely with an upgrade) . Sorry - that JMO.

How far is the walk

1. Hard Rock - There is a free shuttle that goes from the Harley Davidson Cafe (next to planet hollywood) to the Hard Rock.

2. Orleans - Take the free shuttle from Bills to the Orleans...just make sure you catch the one to Orleans, not Gold Coast...lol

The Hard Rock is maybe a 15-20 min. walk east of Planet Hollywood. They used to have a shuttle that stopped at the Harley-Davidson Cafe right by PH but I believe I saw a post sometime back that the shuttle was discontinued. If you want to go, a cab or rental car is the preferred method in August.
