We are travelling from Manchester to Vegas next May for two weeks. At the moment we are thinking of staying Sunday to Wednesay (3 nights) in Vegas - taking the helecopter trip to the Grand Canyon during this time. We then want to hire a car and see San Fransico, Death Valley and Yosemite Park. finally coming back to Vegas for 1 or 2 nights before our return to the UK.
Any ideas of the best way to plan?

Fly too San Fancisco, do your thing.
Rent a car for trip thru points of interest.
arrive in vegas.
do your thing.
turn in car and go home.
Straight line trip rather than a round trip provides more time.
