Nightlife in Vegas

Firstimer heading to Vegas in September...have no idea how the nightlife and getting into clubs works...I%26#39;m a huge club person and want to experience the good ones...what are the must go-to%26#39;s? I%26#39;ve heard so many different stories but one thing I%26#39;ve heard for sure are the massive lines at all the major clubs and how you have to pay insane amounts of money to get in without waiting or be on VIP. how hard is it go get in if I don%26#39;t want to do that? What can I do to make it easier to enjoy the nightlife in Vegas?

Here%26#39;s a site you should find useful:

Nightlife in Vegas

A cool club is like a good casino or great restaurant. You%26#39;ll get varied opinions and it%26#39;s all in the eye of the beer-holder.

All the major resorts have some kind of club they hang their hat on. The Palms has the Moon Bar/Playboy Club and the original Ghost Bar. Be ready to wait in line and pay a big cover at Ghost - unless you%26#39;re a high roller or attractive enough to impress the doormen.

Last time I was at the Palms, word got out Sean Penn was at Ghost Bar and a line at the ground floor elevator started wrapping around the casino.

You have a common question, but it is generic enough to elicit many vague and varied responses. Just start walking and soon enough you%26#39;ll find loud techno music, colorful neon and expensive booze. They are in basements, on roofs and beside pools. Those that do have cover charges sometimes don%26#39;t start charging until a certain time. Browse around look ahead of time.

For your last question - how to make it easier to enjoy nightlife in Vegas - I recommend not being real uptight about the crowd you%26#39;re in, pick a spot and stick with it. The crowd will turn over about every hour. You%26#39;re in Vegas! Don%26#39;t put guidelines on where you have fun, or worry about what you%26#39;re missing next door!!

What Clubs do like to go to in Michigan? I might be able to make a suggestion for a Vegas club based on that.

Also, The more girls you have in your group the easier it will be to get in anywhere.

Visit Studio 54 at the MGM and you will definately feel like you%26#39;ve been to a Vegas nightclub. They start out playing oldies, but trust me, it picks up later.

Ditto on jackcolton.com. It%26#39;s a good site. He also gives you the direct emails to the club hosts so you can reserve a table if you want.

There are also a few ';no cover'; bars that are cool. I like Cleopatra%26#39;s Barge @ Caesars and Caramel @ Bellagio.

Well Michigan doesn%26#39;t really offer a lot of great clubs, but I do like going to Envy and Bleu in downtown Detroit and I frequent a lot of the trendy little bars in downtown Royal Oak/Ferndale like Bosco, Dirty Martini, Sky Bar and Cinq. I will tell you that I love to dance so anywhere that plays good dance music would work...I guess like others said, I should just go with the flow and walk around so I%26#39;ll do that...and the jackcolton website was very helpful, so thanks!

Also, is it worth getting a VIP host for a night?

It depends. I%26#39;ve had them before and showed up pretty early and everything was great. But I%26#39;ve always been in a group of at least 6 people. I%26#39;ve heard of others who were in smaller parties, and even though they had a reservation, didn%26#39;t get seated. They felt it was because the clubs overbook the tables and end up seating the larger parties because they%26#39;ll make more money that way. I always recomend showing up early. Even earlier if there is a celebrity party going on.

Also, ';on the walk around until you find one'; thing. You%26#39;ll find out once you get to Vegas that walking around from Casino to Casino is pretty much out, unless you like taking 6 mile hikes in your club shoes. It%26#39;s better to know which clubs you want to hit, and if not, have some extra money for cab fare. You don%26#39;t want those dogs to be too worn out for dancin, right?

Like I mentioned before you can have fun in some of the no cover bars around Vegas. I mean, even some of the smaller clubs can be fun.

Bottom line: If you and everyone in your party is a young female, you have nothing to worry about. If you%26#39;re a bunch of guys, you%26#39;re screwed.

Yeah it%26#39;s only 4 of us going, 3 girls and our gay male friend, but as far as us girls go, we are all young and attractive...what are our chances now? Lol...

Dress hot and you%26#39;re in just about any club. You should still show up early to avoid some of the mayhem. You can always get a re-entry stamp and come back later if it%26#39;s too early for you.

Since it%26#39;s 4 of you table service may be a good choice. Usually costs at least $400 for a table and bottle. If you guys aren%26#39;t planning on drinking that much then skip the table and let your hotness do the work. ;)

Tip for hot girls: Buddy up with three other lame guys who obviously won%26#39;t have a chance in hell to get in the club and tell them you will help get them in if they pay your way! You can then use your gay friend to chase them off once your in. LOL
