Freemont or not?

We will be in LV for 3 nites total. One nite we have a show. We are taking our 15 year old twins should we make a point of seeing Freemont Street since we%26#39;re limited on time?

Freemont or not?

If this is your first trip, and there is so much to see in Vegas, I would save it for your next trip. I always recommend people check out Fremont street at least once, to see how each individual likes the vibe there.

Freemont or not?

That is a hard question because it is hard to determine what you and your kids will enjoy.

I think Fremont is worth a trip, not sure if this is your first trip that you want to spend the time downtown. If you are staying on the strip it might be easier to just find things to do that are near each other.

Don%26#39;t know if the kids will be thrilled with Fremont Street?

I love the old hotels it has the old Vegas feel, but since the kids can%26#39;t go into casinos it might be a waste of time.

Here is a link for things that your kids might enjoy

The light show is neat and there are a lot of vendors and live entertainment at the Fremont Street Experience. But there is not much else there for under 21%26#39;s. I would skip it this time around as the effort to get there may not balance with the short amount of time you spend.

OP:

Thanks for all the suggestions. FYI This is the first trip to LV for all of us. We will have a rental car too.

FREMONT not Freemont.

If you have a rental and few hours to spare then do it, you have to have supper one way or another so plan on going Downtown for supper, but note that there is Nothing else much to do Downtown.

I%26#39;d say '; JUST DO IT'; (MJ singing in the background).

You and the kids can walk outside the casinos without someone telling the kids to keep moving. The light show is OK but mostly, they will have ';experienced'; that part of Vegas. You can dash in to Mermaids and pick them up a fried twinkie and/or a fried oreo. Have the ladies outside of Mermaids strp some beads on those youngster. Get them a shrimp cocktail from Golden Gate.

The buildings are kind of cool, but honestly, the light show isn%26#39;t very good, and I always get the feeling there are more seedy people downtown. We%26#39;ve tried it twice, and both times we were done after about 20 minutes. We%26#39;ve pretty much decided not to go back, I think. If you have a car, fine, but it%26#39;s not worth a cab ride, IMO.
