To the Las Vegas locals and frequent visitors... if there is one piece of advice you could give to the new/first time visitors to Vegas, what would it be? Something you wish you knew the first time you came to Vegas, and want to advise the newbies to.............

WEAR COMPFORTABLE SHOES, set a limit on gambling money for each day, drink plenty of water along with your alcohol.

Remember the rules you learned in kindergarten for crossing the street.
listen to texqueen and HAVE FUN it%26#39;s Vegas.
If at anytime you are not having fun change, don%26#39;t go past your common sense.

Don%26#39;t feel you need a set agenda each day. Many people over program themselves with their itineraries. Vegas is a place that you can plan a couple of things each day, but mainly you get enjoyment from just going with the flow!
Hotels on the strip look close to each other. They definitely are not- you are going to do more walking than you can imagine. Bring those comfortable shoes and pop into casinos to have a cool drink and rest those feet. Don%26#39;t try to see everything in one visit- it can%26#39;t be done.
Drink more water. Even if you%26#39;re not thirsty or think you don%26#39;t need it. Drink more.
As an alternate, I would like to also say that it%26#39;s best not to cross against the lights. It may be irritating to have to wait, but there are lots of pedestrian accidents that could be prevented.
Don%26#39;t wonder off into off strip areas and parking garages at night.
...advise to us from a member of the wait staff at the Wynn.
Take advantage of shuttle and bus services even the monorail. Depending on taxis and be very expensive. Rent a car if you feel comfortable driving in Vegas but I really would recommend a rental car for your first trip. I was much more comfortable on my second trip renting a car.
Not only will you walk a lot (bring moleskin and bandaids just in case) You will likely eat a lot and it is easy to drink too much (bring rolaids or tums).
Be prepared but live it up!
Don%26#39;t overpay for meals. Some of the finest restuaurants in town should not be over $50 pp for fine dinning. Forget what you hear about buffets, they are cafeteria food ranging from $ 5 to $40 pp
