I am taking two ninteen year old boys to Vegas

I am taking my son and his friend to Vegas for five days. We will be staying at MGM hotel. I would appreciate your suggestions about:

1. shuttle transportation

2. relatively affordable food in a walkable distance

3. tranporation to get to shopping outlets

4. where to get coupons for different dine out or etc

5. what shows would you recommend them to see

6.anything that you think all of us should do or see even if it is not very affordable.

7. ways of how can I make this trip fun and relatively affordable.

I would so appreciate if you could give me some suggestions. Thank you so much in advance.

Also, feel free to share with whatever information you think might be beneficiant for me to know in advance.

Without wishing to sound rude, are you sure that Vegas is the right place to take two testosterone driven young males who will be surrounded by things that they%26#39;ll want to get involved in but their age will prevent them from doing so?

Yes they will be able to enjoy restaurants, shows and shopping but if I%26#39;d have gone to LV when I was nineteen I think I%26#39;d have hated it. Why not wait a couple of years until they can go and have a really great time. perhaps without any parents.

Sorry if it%26#39;s not the answer you wanted. Just my honest opinion.

I agree with blagger .It will be pure torture for two 19 yr old boys in Vegas.

They will see people 2 yrs older than them having a blast while they are severely restricted in what they do.

And if they pass a line of scantily clad young ladies in line for a club, that they cannot go to,they will be beside themselves with envy.

totally agree with the previous2 answers. It would be torture for these two young men.

A friend of mine went when he was 20 and had a miserable time. Everyone but him could get into bars, casinos, etc. He hung at the pool or stayed in his room at night. Sightseeing during the day - ';sort of lame'; for alpha males at that age, he explained.

These are not the responses you asked for, but just some Vegas regulars trying to give you advice.

Hope it all works out for you

To answer some of your questions.

1)No shuttle, take a taxi and tell the driver NO TUNNEL.

2)There are lots of reasonable dining options at M.G.M.

Rainforest Cafe is one that springs to mind.

3)Deuce to premium outlets,taxi to outlet centre,shuttle to Primm(leaves from M.G.M I think).

5)Stomp,Blue Man Group,Spamalot.

6 +7) Sirens show at Treasure Island. It%26#39;s free, check out their website so see when it%26#39;s on.

Fountain shows at Bellagio maybe.

Maybe go up the Stratosphere for a interesting view (I think its 15$), maybe they%26#39;re into rollercoasters, then def go to NY NY (I think a ride was 25$ or something stupid tho).

Sirens of TI is the biggest pile of garbage in LV. To be avoided by all ages from 9 to 99.

yes it is, in my eyes, but I reckon 2 19-year-olds might like it, besides that it%26#39;s free.

Ok, I%26#39;m thinking that if you can stomach it you can simply give their own room key and point them out to the strip and they will be able to figure it out on their own AND have a blast doing it; freeing you up to do whatever you want.

Now, I say stomach it because as a parent I am sure this would not be your first choice, but two College age guys should easily be able to locate an abundance of ';fun'; things that they can do in Vegas. Just make sure their cell phones are charged when you send them off in the morning.

Just make sure their cell phones are charged when you send them off in the morning.

And make sure their wallets are fully charged as well

Oooh. Letting them off on their own could spell disaster... My kids are young and I have girls, but I wouldn%26#39;t let two 19 yr old boys out of my sight.

Have never stayed at the MGM. Are there free or discount shows there? There%26#39;s the car museum at the Imperial Palace - where we%26#39;re staying. We get discounted tickets, but I don%26#39;t think the reg. price is that high. They might really enjoy that. You might be able to win tickets or get them discounted somewhere. The Travel Zoo website comes to mind - however, I%26#39;ve only looked at the site once for tickets to Stomp Out Loud (another show they might enjoy).

Good luck and hope you have a great time!
