Help! Vegas with kids

Hi -- We are coming to Vegas for a wedding in May.

We have 2 kids (6,9). Would prefer to stay somewhat near Caesar%26#39;s (where wedding is), but need it cheap (ideally, less than $100). Would also prefer a hotel WITHOUT a casino, but flexible.

Any advice? THANK YOU!

In that area there is no such thing as a hotel without a casino.

Try the Treasure Island. It%26#39;s 2 hotels away from Caesars. Excalibur is also a great place that still caters to families but they are going to be a hike.

if you type ';children'; in the search area, you will find a lot of information.

lets start advising everyone with kids to circus circus and excalibur. that way kids are all going to the same place. ;-)

Stay at Orleans. It%26#39;s nice, cheap and a decent place for kids.

I would look at Bally%26#39;s, Barbary Coast or Flamingo. If you go on a slower week, you can get a room for under $100. BC does not have a pool, though. If you don%26#39;t mind taking the shuttle, the Gold Coast would probably fit your needs well, also.

Don%26#39;t quote me on it, but I don%26#39;t think there is a casino in the Embassy Suites or the Hilton vacation places.

LAst post is correct. Embassy suites has no casino is not too far from the Strip...however it will be over $100 a night.

Noit near caesars but really nice and very afforable is The Orleans.. it has a bowling alley and movie theater on property and tends to draw a diverse (age-wise) crowd.

No casino %26amp; cheap.

Gatorgal -- Look seriously at the Flamingo. Across from Caesar%26#39;s!, Center Strip (great location), great pool, and bird habitat. I researched it a lot for my family (kids 6 %26amp; 9 also). There are a lot of recent posts on TA -- just type in Flamingo Las Vegas. Hubby%26#39;s attending a conference -- first part of stay is MGM Grand, next Gr. Canyon, then Flamingo. I think the rates for May were better for June -- My rate is $100/nite.

Good luck! Just keep reading and you%26#39;ll make the right decision.

bp 1 -- Very funny, but parents can be very savvy and actually DO research in addition to reading posts (sorry!). I promise, my kids won%26#39;t slide up next to you at your casino table or slot machine -- not to worry. (Though my 9 yr old would probably be great at video poker!)
