Kids and Las Vegas

Does anyone know what the restrictions are for children in bars and restaurants?

I%26#39;m especially thinking of places with duelling pianos - if anybody has any recommendations for restuarants where we can take the children (7 %26amp; 13) we would be most grateful. Thanks

The children will not be allowed in bars or around the bar area in restaurants. They will not be allowed near the dueling pianos at Harrah%26#39;s.

MGM has a Rainforest Cafe that might be fun for the children. The Cheesecake Factory might be another possibility.

No children in bars and casinos. They are allowed to pass through casinos, but no stopping ot looking.

Most of the nicer restaurants do not have children menus. Buffets, fast food courts, and chain restaurants are your best bets.

Unlike the UK, the law in the US doesn%26#39;t allow for children to be in bars. They are allowed in restaurants that serve drinks. But not allowed in bars that serve food. ESPNZone might be fun for them, as they will not be allowed in the sportsbooks to watch any sporting events.

Liquor aside, dueling pianos are not suitable for children. A lot, maybe most, of the material is very adult in nature. They freely change the lyrics of the songs and they are sometimes quite filthy, and unfortunately not very funny.

In general, Las Vegas is really not a kid%26#39;s place, although I do still see kids there when I go. Its OK to take them, just know that your choices of where to go, where to eat, and what to do will be limited.

Just type kids into the search function - wade through the rubbish - and you will come up with lots of places to take kids, both to eat and to entertain them. Believe me, I%26#39;ve been to LV 3 times with my kids (now aged 12 and 13) and the places to take them and to eat are by no means limited (although many users of this forum would love them to be!). However, you will not be able to take them into any bars.

My advice would be to stay at a hotel in the Fremont Street area. (a bus ride will take you along The Strip when required). The Fremont Street experience will fascinate children of all ages, as will the jungle in Sam%26#39;s Town (free shuttles available). Kids can play safely in the pedestrianised section and there are plenty of shops and street entertainers to keep them amused.

Not an ideal place for the kids..... not allowed in the Bellagio at all unless booked in at the hotel.

Great buffet at the Flamingo tho....

Not going to answer this question since a parent is asking about taking a 7yr and 13yr to a bar thats crazy. Bars and casino aren%26#39;t for kids period.

when will people figure this out?

vegas is not for kids, period!
