We%26#39;re going to Vegas for the first time in a couple of weeks.
We%26#39;re staying at the Wynn and I just have a couple of questions:
1) How will the weather most likely be?
2) What should I take to wear during the day/evening?
3) Casino at the Wynn, minimum bet on roulette table (heard it was $25.00) General info/advice regarding Wynn Casino.
We%26#39;ll only be there for 4 days : (
Thanks for your help.
In 2 Weeks - Wynn, Weather %26amp; What to Wear
I hope I%26#39;m not being rude but I just can%26#39;t grasp the idea that people can be happy to travel half way around the planet without first checking out what the weather will be like at their destination.......:-)
1) It will be hot. Mid to high 90s (mid to high 30s centigrade) and still very warm in the evenings and overnight.
2) Wear whatever your comfortable in. No dress codes as such but you may want to take smart clothes if you%26#39;re planning on visiting a nice restaurant or two.
3) Wynn casino is one of the most upscale in town with the highest minimum bets. If you want lower minimums there are plenty of other options open to you. I%26#39;m not really a roulette player but I%26#39;m guessing that the $25 you mention would be the total for all your bets per spin of the wheel, not per individual bet. I%26#39;m sure others will know for sure.
In 2 Weeks - Wynn, Weather %26amp; What to Weara line of ceedit.....or alot of $$$$$$ if your playing table games
a line of credit.....or alot of $$$$$$ if your playing table games
I did check the weather before I booked, but then I read some posts which mentioned heavy rain, I just wondered if this was forecast to continue.
Thank you for the information.
Yes, it has been raining in Vegas recently? I%26#39;m looking forward to my trip in three weeks only because it has been raining here EVERY day for forever!!! I sure hope it doesn%26#39;t rain while I%26#39;m there.. but if it does, it%26#39;ll just cool things off and hey, we%26#39;ll be in Vegas!
Singin in the rain....lol
Rain shouldn%26#39;t dampen a Vegas vacation! I rode the roller coaster at NYNY in the rain and laughed my butt off!!!! Most of the fun is inside! Cabs and monorail are protected from the rain! (Well, YOU are anyway...lol)
Might want to bring at least one set of nice clothes if you plan on upscale dining, or clubs.....
The normal highs- 100 but it has gone up to 116 in August. No matter what- it will be hot, hot,hot during the day and not much cooler at night. When it rains during the summer it usually rains hard for a short period of time and then it stops quickly. It is known as the monsoon season with occasional flash floods and a hailstorm here and there. If you are caught in it- just duck inside the nearest casino and wait it out. You will find plenty to do in there.

Vegas is a very casual town- especially in the summer. Most people wear shorts or capris during the day. Some people like to dress up at night while others don%26#39;t bother. Bring a nice pair of pants/slacks and a decent shirt/blouse and you will be fine in any restaurant.
We stayed at the Wynn for the first time this past June. Good luck! We would never stay there again. Horrible housekeeping issues. Horrible service everywhere. Computer glitches up the ying yang. They lost all our playing time/points in the casino because the computer was ';malfunctioning'; upon our checkout. Ya, sure. We had 6000 points on our cards and when we went to the players counter to see what we could get, they said we had NO points and that we had not played in that casino since our first day there. Mind you, we had played for at least 4-6 hours a day, every single day that we were there (we were there a week).
It took 2 hours to get a cheeseburger at the Terrace Point Cafe at lunchtime (with no one else in the restaurant, to speak of). Had to wait 4 hours to get into our room (parlor suite). There was no blow dryer and it took 2 hours to have one brought up. The tvs kept breaking down. The a/c was ';malfunctioning.';
Don%26#39;t use a cab for your transportation because they will make snide comments to you. The pool was full with babies and little children - splashing and peeing.
You will look out of place in normal clothes. If you don%26#39;t dress up, you will be treated accordingly. We dressed up every day, but we could see and hear what the staff was saying about people who didn%26#39;t. The guests were quite outspoken about underdressed guests, too. Oh, and if you use room service, don%26#39;t bother tipping! They automatically charge you 28% gratuity.
The best thing about the Wynn is Spamalot. It is great! Also, their slots are loose - or at least they were for me.
The water show is a joke. It%26#39;s some kind of green frog on top of a waterfall. SW Steakhouse is where we watched it from. Had reservations at 8:30pm. They sat us at 9:30, and we got our meal at 11pm. The bill was almost $300 (no drinks, no appetizers, no dessert).
The Tableau restaurant for breakfast was about $100, and took almost 2 hours (again - not many people in the restaurant). Wore shorts in there and the staff stared at us throughout the entire meal. When I asked the waitress why everyone was staring at us, she laughed and said, ';we don%26#39;t see many people with shorts on in here!';
So I certainly hope you have a better experience than we did. It was our 25th anniversary and we wanted an unforgettable experience. Well, it certainly was!
We are going back to our beloved Bellagio in September.
dcia1951 be HONEST now,, you never stayed there
