weekend of 7th and 8th of september

hi,i was wondering if anyone can help me,i have booked a wekk in vegas from 4th sep and have seen the hotel prices for the friday and saturday seem to have gone up a lot from when i booked it,is there anything big happening there that weekend that anyone knows of?

There%26#39;s nothing big that weekend that I%26#39;m aware of. Remember that Vegas hotel rates fluctuate a great deal due to supply and demand and this can be exaggerated at weekends. I don%26#39;t know how long ago you made your reservation but it%26#39;s likely that back when you did so, the hotels weren%26#39;t expecting a very busy weekend, possibly with it being the weekend following Labor Day.

However now that we%26#39;re only a month or so away, there may well have been a lot more reservations made for that weekend than anticipated hence the hike in rates. It%26#39;s always a nice feeling when rates go up considerably after you%26#39;ve made your reservation..... :-)

Tell me about it! We are due to leave Vegas on Sept 7, last week I got an invite for 3 comped nights at Bellagio starting the 10th to play in a slot tourney, so thought I%26#39;d move out of Mirage to somewhere else for the weekend and then do the Bellagio thing since some old friends of mine are also going to be in Vegas the same time as the B stay..haven%26#39;t made a reservation yet, prices are more expensive than I thought they%26#39;d be! I figured those 3 %26#39;free%26#39; daus are going to cost dearly if I do stay on! Bummer!

There is the MTV Music Video awards live from the Palms on Sunday the 9th. I think that%26#39;s probably the cause of the rate hikes.

this might seem a silly question but if anyone can help it would be appreciated.is it possible to get tickets to the mtv awards and if so how do i do it? many thanks if anyone replys

LOL firsttimer! I%26#39;ve booked MGM for that weekend, but am going to ring them up, saw where yesterday someone was going to book the same thing they%26#39;d found on fatwallet that I did, they rang them up and got a much better rate over the phone than the code on fatwallet gave.

Please don%26#39;t tell Low, but I really don%26#39;t want to stay at MGM! I know why you want me to stay on in Vegas, you%26#39;ll have me in Bellagio with you for 3 days, lmao! ;)

tickets to the VMA%26#39;s are starting aroun 4k per ticket. 10k per couple...

my good friend who is going to vegas with us that weekend wanted to go really bad... that%26#39;s how i know...
