We are a family of four - kids aged 11 and 7 (both love music) and we had thought it would be a real treat to add the Elton John concert to our trip to Vegas at the end of the month. The site we were looking at for booking tickets states that the show is for %26#39;mature audiences%26#39; and that there maybe some %26#39;adult imagery%26#39; - does this mean they just don%26#39;t really want kids there or is it really risque!!
Can anyone who has been advise - thanks
Elton John-for kids???
You%26#39;re right, the warning about the show being for mature audiences is just a sham. They just don%26#39;t want you to bring your kids to Vegas. IT%26#39;S A LAS VEGAS CONSPIRACY!!!
:)
Elton John-for kids???
I have never been, but c%26#39;mon - its Elton John. That being said.... if children were not allowed, it would state the age limit. The warning is most likely just that - a warning.
BUT - why on EARTH would you want to bring a 7 %26amp; 11 year old to an EJ concert? Its not their kind of music, the tickets are expensive and on top of it, you%26#39;ve been told its for mature audiences. I just dont get it. Bring your kids to Vegas if you must - but take them to something more geared up for kids. What about Blue Man Group?
I think the ';treat'; would be for you and your husband - not the kids.
Sorry - JMHO
everyone has different idea of what is risque%26#39;. One of my brother-in-laws is a devout Christian and another lives in the Castro district with his boyfriend. Get the idea? I would never take kids that young. The show has huge blow-up dolls? that are not appropriate for a 7 year old at all. Also there are huge videos that are projected that contain ';adult subject matter.';
The entire back of the stage is a video screen. During some of the songs they project some very adult type videos, some are s3x oriented, some war scenes (as I recall). I don%26#39;t think they are appropriate for 7 or 11 year olds. I would not take my grandchildren that age to see it, wherever it was playing. I loved the music and enjoyed the show, but I am 68.

Not for children IMO. The background videos and blow-up dolls border line porno, entertaining for consenting adults, but not appropiate for chilfren like the rest of Vegas.
I could not imagine taking my 7 year old to see Elton John. I%26#39;ve heard that there are some adult images that come up on the screen, also I%26#39;d be afraid the kids wouldn%26#39;t be able to see anything (guess that would solve the adult imagery problem though) and would get bored. I really don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s a good idea.
My buddy saw it with his brother%26#39;s family, and when the blow up boobies came out, my friend took his kids out quickly!!!
(Not like they never saw mom%26#39;s, lol)

Does mom have Blow-Ups?
