I%26#39;ve heard there is a beautiful Catholic church in Las Vegas? Can someone tell me which one it is? I would like to go while I%26#39;m there.

There is a cathedral by the Riviera, or Our lady of Las Vegas in town. There may be others.

Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer

Across the Luxor.
Guardian Angel Catheral is practically on the strip:

Not to offend any of my Catholic friends, but doesn%26#39;t it seem that Las Vegas is ripe for a new Catholic church right on the Strip? How about Our Lady of The Red, Black, and Green? Or the Church of the Holy Ticket Redeemer? St. Stephen Hope of Sinners?
Just think, they could hire kids to hand out church ';slapper'; cards in front of Planet Hollywood with a phone number you can call to get the Mass times or arrange a confession. You have to admit it would be a nice change.
Hi Hannah fan,
The Shrine of the Holy Redeemer is a nice catholic church close to the strip. Just hop in a cab and you are there rather quickly.
Good Story: My friends and I usually go during Easter break and they went to Easter Mass there, had to go across the street to a casino to catch a cab home and while there they gambled and won $2000.00
dollars. Pays to give God his due.

I visisted the Guardian Angel Cathedral when I was there in May. Beautiful little Cathedral on the North Strip just past Wynn. I didn%26#39;t attend mass but went to worship and take pictures. The coolest thing were the ';candles'; they had for the shrines. They were little lighbulbs in red votives and you flipped a switch to ';light'; the candle. I thought that was really kitchy and awesome.
There%26#39;s lot of pictures from the Cathedral in my Flikr account:

I plan on visiting the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church Downtown when I go in August and Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer on the South strip in November.
Here%26#39;s some tourist info from the LV Diocese.

I remember when we went to mass there (I was a kid and don%26#39;t remember which one) and they had a sign that said '; We do accept chips and tokens';, I remember laughing when they were collecting $$ and there were tons of chips in the basket!!

Stratton, we might have to resort to more creative means of getting revenue. There%26#39;s this matter concerning some kids and a bill of $600 million that was awarded last month.
Hitch: What about Our Lady... of... Fortune! (Can%26#39;t you just here the big wheel spinning now?)
Sister Dino, comments like that will get your habit removed.
How about the ushers dressed like dealers and the nuns like cw. Of course, the priest would have to be the PIT BOSS.
