Does anyone ';swim'; in the pools?

I%26#39;ve got 22 days left woo hoo!!

I swim laps everyday in our backyard pool for about 30-45 minutes for my daily workout during the summer. Is it possible to get a swim before the pool gets crowded at most hotels? For the past 4 visits, we went in January and the pool wasn%26#39;t an issue. (it snowed the last time we were there). Or should I use the fitness room for a workout? I feel like I may need one to work off some of the booze I plan to drink...lol...

I would say if you get out early enough it should be no problem. My guess is that most people sleep between 4am-8am in Vegas =)

absolutley - every day. well, almost every day - in february it%26#39;s hard for me to get in, my husband does without hesitation.

I have RA and swimming helps.

I usually swim twice a day and never have trouble lap swimming.

i once saw someone post here that they didn%26#39;t like a pool at the strip hotel they were a guest since it had no deep end - only 4 feet deep and they couldn%26#39;t swim. How absurd - anyone can swim in 4%26#39; of water, unless your a giant.! I swim in Venetian and Wynn pools, usually about 0700 and 1700 local time.

Most pools are only three feet deep and once they are open, it is pretty hard to find room to do laps. At three feet, it isn%26#39;t enjoyable to me. If you are staying in hotel with a poor pool reputation, you may have better luck.

my son just told me he swam daily at Wynn last week-end, usually around noon. Pool busy, never a problem lap swimming.

leo - how does the pool dpeth affect your swimming enjoyment? Unless you are 9%26#39; tall 3%26#39; of water is more than enough. swimming is swimming. I do have a wave machine in my lap pool, more resistance, great exercise. my lap pool is 3%26#39; deep and plenty deep for my 6%26#39;4%26#39; husband and kids.

Not sure where you are staying, but Bally%26#39;s has a pool with a deep end if you ARE interested in swimming in more than 3 feet of water. Personally, I don%26#39;t like the shallow pools like that, even though I%26#39;m not a lap-swimmer.

Rugrats can%26#39;t go in the deep end!

thanks for all the responses. I don%26#39;t think I%26#39;ll have any problems then. We are staying at Hooters (I know.. but trying to save the company money since we own the company...lol) And there are two pools. It%26#39;s small, but I thought I could get up early enough and go. I guess I can. I%26#39;m always up at 7 am no matter when I get to bed. Unless it%26#39;s 6 am..lol... this IS Vegas. I can swim in shallow water, but cant tread in it....lol...

We stayed at the MGM and my husband swam laps one morning with no problem. He was down there by 7am I believe.

I always wanted to swim Lake Mead but I understand that there is a lot of cholesterol in the water.
